Anita Shet is a Research Professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received her MBBS from Bangalore University in 1993, her MD from the University of Minnesota in 2000, and her PhD from Karolinska Institute in 2014. Her main research interests include child health; vaccines; childhood pneumonia; dengue; pediatric HIV; and pediatric infectious diseases. She was Elected Member of the Society for Pediatric Research (SPR) in 2015, won the International Young Women Physicians-Scientists Award from the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) in 2008, and won the Wellcome Trust-Department of Biotechnology India Alliance Senior Fellowship Award in 2014.
