Prof. Mehrdad Nikooy currently serves as an associate professor of forest engineering at the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Guilan. He earned his Bachelor of Forestry at the University of Guilan in Iran in 1998, his MSc in forest engineering at the University of Tehran in Iran in 2000, and his PhD in forest engineering from the University of Tehran in 2007. After completing his PhD, Prof. Mehrdad Nikooy accepted the position of member of scientific staff at the University of Guilan. In 2016, he accepted an associate professor position at the University of Guilan. In addition, he is an expert in forest mechanization, cost analysis, and forest engineering ergonomics and has conducted much research on mountain harvesting, forest soil recovery, and environmental assessment of forest logging, resulting in a large number of papers on Iranian and international scientific press.
Prof. Angela Lo Monaco currently serves as an Associate Professor of Wood Technology and Forest Logging at the Department of Agriculture and Forest Science (DAFNE) at the University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy), where she is also head of the Wood Science and Technology Laboratory. In addition, Prof. Angela Lo Monaco is the Editor-in-Chief of the Section Wood Science of Forests. Prof. Angela Lo Monaco's research interests mainly concern wood science and technology for both sustainable forest management and cultural heritage.
