Dr. Jinhai Chen has been an associate  professor at the Navigation College, Jimei University, and also serves as the assistant director of the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Ship Aid Navigation Technology. From September 2010 to July 2015, he studied at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, majoring in Cartography and GIS, as a doctoral student; From September 2006 to July 2008, he studied at the Merchant Marine College, Shanghai Maritime University, majoring in Traffic Information Engineering and Control, as a master student. He is mainly engaged in research on maritime spatial positioning data analysis, navigation safety technology for offshore windfarms, and maritime transport.

Prof. Peng Peng has been an associate researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2022. Before that, he was an assistant researcher from 2021 to 2022 and was a postdoctoral/special research assistant from 2019 to 2021, at this institute. He received a PhD at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2015 to 2019. He serves as a guest editor for SCI journals IJGI and Sensors, as well as a member of the organizing committee for international academic seminars such as W2GIS, MDM 2022, and SDM2021. His research field and direction are geographic information science, mainly engaged in complex geographic network analysis, maritime spatiotemporal data mining, knowledge graphs, and other research areas.
