Abeezar Shipchandler, MD FACP has practiced at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Plano in Plano, TX since 2010. He is a Hospitalist and currently serves as medical director of Hospital Medicine Plano with additional director roles in Patient Safety and Utilization Review. He went to medical school at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center in Houston, TX, and did his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, AL, before returning to practice in his hometown of Plano, TX. He was recognized as the 2018 DFW Healthcare Foundation Physician of the Year and as one of D Magazine's 2024 Best Doctors in Collin County. He is a fellow in the Society of Hospital Medicine and member of the American College of Physicians.
