Dr Macmanus Chinenye Ndukwu is a professor and researcher at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike with interest in technologies and process parameters for developing efficient processing techniques and equipment for value addition to biomaterial. Currently, he develops models, numerical simulations of coupled heat and mass transfer, energy and exergy analysis, and process parameter evaluation. He works in solar and convective drying, biomass and bioenergy valorization, evaporative cooling, and development of crop processing machines. He was awarded the best researcher in the College of Engineering and second runner-up as the best researcher at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike in 2024. He is listed among the top 2% scientists in the world according to a study conducted by the University of Stanford for Elsevier in 2023. He is a member of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers and a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria.
