Dr. Stuart A. Maloy has undergraduate (1989), masters (1991), and PhD (1994) degrees in Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University and is a registered professional engineer in metallurgy. Dr. Stuart A. Maloy has been a senior nuclear materials advisor in the Reactor Materials Group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since March 2022. He has previous experience at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he worked for 33 years, specializing in radiation-based effects on materials. He is also a national laboratory professor in the Nuclear Engineering department at the University of New Mexico and a fellow of the American Nuclear Society. His research focuses on understanding and developing materials for use in extreme environments, and he has more than 260 peer-reviewed technical publications (with more than 10,000 citations and an h-index of 51) and numerous presentations.
