Daniele Buonocore (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) was born in Naples in 1989. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Salerno, Italy. After working as a hardware/software/firmware engineer, he is currently a Ph.D. student at the Industrial Engineering University of Salerno in the Electronic Measurements group. His research interests include food quality assurance techniques using computer vision, signal analysis, and artificial intelligence, as well as the development of distributed sensor networks using standards such as IEEE 1451 and IEC 61499.
Giuseppe Ciavolino was born in Pompei in 1990. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Salerno, Italy. He started working as a hardware/software/firmware engineer, and he is currently a Research Fellow at the Industrial Engineering University of Salerno in the Electronic Measurements group. His research interests include the development of systems of monitoring for the beverage industry using Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things paradigm. His skills include metrological characterization, development of real-time algorithms for signal analysis, and computer vision.
Salvatore Dello Iacono received his M.S. degree (2018) in Electronic Engineering at the University of Salerno, Italy, where he also received his Ph.D. (2022) in Industrial Engineering. He is currently a Research Fellow with the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Brescia, Italy. He researched inertial measurement systems and positioning algorithms; he is actively involved in research on sustainability and light mobility. His main interests are embedded real-time signal processing on microcontrollers and DSPs, and I-IoT devices.
Consolatina Liguori was born in Solofra (AV), Italy, in 1969. She received her M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Salerno, Italy, in 1993 and her Ph.D. from the University of Cassino, Italy, in 1997. In 1997, she joined the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Cassino as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Measurements. She was an Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurements from 2001 to 2013. In 2010, she joined the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno. She has been a Full Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurements since December 2012. Her main interests are in the fields of digital signal processing, image-based measurement systems, measurement characterization, instrument fault detection, and isolation.
