Daniel Diaz Campos studied Mechanical Engineering at the Universidad de Chile. He received the title of engineer in 2023 with maximum distinction and a final score of 7.0 on a scale from 1 to 7. His research topics are mainly fluid structure interactions and biomechanics. He now works as a mechanical engineer in a consulting company.

Alvaro Valencia Musalem studied Mechanical Engineering at the Universidad de Chile. He received his PhD degree from the Ruhr-University of Bochum in 1993. He is Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidad de Chile. His research topics include computational fluid dynamics, fluid structure interactions, biomechanics, and convective heat transfer. He has more than 60 publications in international journals.
