Dr. Ruiqin Yang graduated with a master's degree from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 1997 and a doctoral degree from the National Toyama University in Japan in 2006. She went to the National Toyama University in Japan for short-term visits and academic exchanges from January to March 2010, January to March 2013, and January to February 2016. She is currently the Vice Dean of the School of Biological and Chemical Engineering at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Product Chemistry and Bioprocessing Technology in
Zhejiang Province. She has been awarded the titles of Advanced Female Intellectuals in Shenyang Science and Education System, Outstanding Communist Party Member in Shenyang Science and Education System, and Outstanding Communist Party Member in Shenyang City.
