Cícero W.B. Bezerra graduated in Industrial Chemistry from
the Federal University of Maranhão in 1992 and in Pedagogy from Faculdade do
Maranhão—FACAM in 2020. He completed a Master’s degree in Science, with a
concentration on Analytical Chemistry, from the São Carlos Chemistry Institute
in 1995, and a PhD in Science, with a concentration on Physical Chemistry,
also from the São Carlos Chemistry Institute in 1999. Currently, he is an
Associate Professor at the Departamento de Química, Federal University of
Maranhão. He has experience in the area of Chemistry, with an emphasis on
Coordination Fields and planning of new materials, working mainly on
interfaces, synthesis, and characterization of coordination compounds, and
advanced materials for catalysis and effluent treatment (adsorption,
photodegradation, and electrocoagulation). In the field of teaching, he
participates, as an advisor, in the programs including BioNorte and the
Postgraduate Program in Chemistry, in addition to the
UFMA-IFMA Associative Doctorate Program in Chemistry.
