Dr. Ashok M. Sajjan currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, KLE Technological University, Hubli, India. He obtained his MSc in organic chemistry (2001) and PhD in polymer membranes (2013) from Karnatak University, Karnataka, India. Dr. Ashok M. Sajjan's research focuses on polymer materials: membrane separation, packaging, and battery applications. He is working as the program coordinator for the VGST Project (GRD: 450) for the Development of Novel Nano-Composite Hybrid Polymer Membranes for Pervaporation Separation of Water from Industrial Waste Organic Solvents and as the co-principal investigator for the Development of Membrane Filter Technology for Increasing Heat Efficiency of Biogas for Power Generation, Development of Membranes for Ethanol Purification (No. DR.SRP/T-4/4.1/55/2018-19/1263-B), and Evaluation of Bacterial Cellulose Based Packaging on Shelf Life of Tomato (No. DR.SRP/SCP/TSP/- 4/4.1/15/2019-2020/4931-B). Four PhD scholars are currently working under his supervision.
Dr. Nagaraj R. Bhanapurmath is currently working as a Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering and Heads Centre for Material Science (Centre of Excellence), KLE Technological University, Hubballi. He received a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), a Master’s degree in Heat Power Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has 30 years of Teaching and 20 years of Research experience. His area of specialization includes combustion in IC engines, renewable fuels research, and nanomaterials for structural and energy applications. He has published papers in international journals: 231, international conferences: 76, and national conferences: 23. He has filed 14 patents, had 4 patents granted, and has 13 book and book chapter publications. In addition, he has been the Principal Investigator for several funded projects from the State and Central Govt. of INDIA.
