Prof. Hossein Afzalimehr is a Professor at the Civil Engineering Department, Iran University of Science and Technology. He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at Laval University (Canada). His area of expertise covers river engineering and sediment transport, turbulence-vegetation interaction, design of stable channels, environmental hydraulics, and resistance to flow in open channels and rivers. Prof. Hossein Afzalimehr has authored many books and journal articles such as “Hydraulic Engineering of Open Channels”, “Hydrology through Note, Example & Test”, etc. Moreover, he has served as a
reviewer for various international journals.
