Dr. Jhones O. Sarturi received his D.V.M. from the University for the Development of State and Region of Pantanal, Brazil; an M.S. in Agronomy from the University of Sao Paulo (USP/ESALQ),
Brazil; a Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Amarillo, Texas. Currently, Dr. Sarturi is a tenured faculty at Texas Tech University, Department of Animal and Food Sciences (Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources). His research focuses on the digestive physiology of beef cattle. More specifically, the development of strategies to improve, evaluate, and better utilize byproducts, forages, and grains in ruminant diets. His research approach involves the manipulation of feeding technologies at pre and/or post-animal consumption.
