Hernán Cortés, PhD, is a Principal Investigator at the Laboratory
of Genomic Medicine of the National Institute of Rehabilitation Luis Guillermo
Ibarra Ibarra and Invited Professor at the Pharmacology and Physiology
Departments of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV). He is also
a member of the National Chair of Researchers in México (SNI Level 2). Dr.
Hernán received his MSc degree and PhD degree from CINVESTAV
in 2005 and 2010, respectively. He is a reviewer for various
reputable peer-reviewed journals and has published numerous scientific articles
in prestigious journals indexed by Clarivate’s Web of Science. Dr. Hernán
Cortés has contributed to forming students in biomedical areas and is actively performing
investigations in diverse fields of knowledge, including
neurosciences, pathophysiology of skin, cancer, and therapeutic properties of
natural products.
