Prof. Dr. Hassan Jumaa is the Director of the Institute of
Immunology, University Hospital Ulm. He received his Ph.D. in Biology from the
Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics, Germany, in 1997. He was
a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Freiburg and Max Planck Institute of
Immunobiology, Germany, from 1998 to 2001; an Adjunct Professor at the
University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2010; and a Group Leader of Molecular
Immunology from 2001 to 2013. He was awarded the Georges-Kohler Award of the
German Society of Immunology in 2004 and the ERC Advanced Grant of the European
Commission in 2016.
