Natalia-Maria Zografou-Barredo is a researcher at the
School of Engineering, Newcastle University, U.K. Her research focus is on
whole energy systems, energy systems resilience, and mathematical optimisation
with applications in electricity distribution. In 2022, she received the Ph.D.
degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the School of Engineering,
Newcastle University, U.K. In 2021, she won the EPSRC Doctoral Prize
Fellowship, and since 2023 is part of the EPSRC Supergen Energy Networks Hub
research project.
Professor Sara Walker is Director of Birmingham Energy
Institute. She has been working in the energy sector since 1996, with a career
spanning industry and academia. Her research focus is on renewable energy and
energy efficiency in buildings, energy policy, energy resilience, and more
recently she has focused on whole energy systems. She is Director of the EPSRC
Hub on Hydrogen Integration for Accelerated Energy Transitions (HI-ACT), and
Co-Director of the EPSRC Energy Demand Research Centre. She is an Advisory
Committee Member for the UK Energy Research Centre and the UK CCS Research
Centre, and also contributes to the EPSRC Scientific Advisory Committee for
Energy and Decarbonisation.
James Withers is a Research and design engineer at the
Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult with eight years of experience across
multiple industries. He studied mechanical engineering at Heriot Watt
University. After graduating, he undertook design roles that covered a wide
variety of industries including Hydrogen, Nuclear and moving bridges. His
experience in the Hydrogen sector developed while working at ITM power
developing PEM electrolysers.
