Ana Cristina Braga (Chemical Engineer, MSc in Probability and Statistics, Ph.D. in Applied Statistics) and an aggregate degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering on 12 December 2023. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Production and Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal. She is responsible for curricular units in the first and 2nd cycle of studies in the area of Applied Statistics. She was responsible for Quantitative and Qualitative Methods in Engineering in Ph.D. programs in Engineering. Since 2004, she has Invited Professor in several Master's and PhD programs in Dental Medicine. She carries out scientific activity in Applied Statistics at the Algoritmi Centre at the same university. Her research interest is in developing high-impact statistical methods and useful, easy-to-use tools for application in bioinformatics, industry, and medicine, with a particular focus on genetics and dentistry. She enjoys working in a collaborative environment with people from diverse backgrounds to enhance her knowledge and understanding of real-world data. She is a Member of the HMIEXCEL - Critical R & D project around the development and production cycle of advanced multimedia solutions for the automobile.
Paula Carneiro is an Assistant Professor at the University of Minho, in the Ergonomics and Human Factors area. At the same University, she is a researcher at the ALGORITMI Research Center in the “Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM)” research line, group of “Ergonomics and Human Factors”. Currently, she supervises two PhD projects. She participated in the evaluation committee of 12 PhD theses in Portugal and Brazil. She is editing a special issue for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. She has been a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SHO) since 2008. Since May 2015, she has been the director of the Master's degree in Human Engineering. Paula Carneiro has been/is a coordinator/member of international and national externally funded research projects in the domains of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
