Philip X. Fuchs is an Assistant
Professor in Sports Biomechanics at the National Taiwan Normal University. He obtained
a doctoral degree in ‘Sport and Exercise Science’ at the University of Salzburg
(Austria) and a Ph.D. in ‘Methods, Models and Technologies’ at the University
of Cassino e Lazio Meridionale (Italy). His doctoral studies focused on
movement analyses and training science (Salzburg) and performance testing and
device assessment (Cassino). From 2021 to 2023, he was a Postdoctoral
Researcher in the Department of Athletic Performance at the National Taiwan
Normal University. He also served as a Project Coordinator of the EU-funded ‘AMiD’
research project supervising activities of 13 institutions across Europe and
being responsible for the successful implementation of the project (01/2018–12/2020)
and as a Project Assistant in the ‘WINNER’ EU project contributing to quality
control (09/2015–02/2017). His primary fields include biomechanical movement
analysis, research methodology, and the evaluation of sports
equipment/technologies.
