Mr. David Santiago Pellicer Zubeldía has been a researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Zaragoza since 2019. He received his BSc Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical + Electrical Engineering) and his MSc Degree in Industrial Engineering, with a major in Machine and Vehicle Design. He has conducted research works on sustainable mobility vehicles, focusing on railway vehicles, a field on which he has conducted both his Bachelor’s Thesis and his Master’s Thesis. He has participated at the “International Congress Mathematical Modelling in Engineering & Human Behaviour (MME&HB2023 and MME&HB2024)” twice, both held in Valencia. Also, he has reviewed some scientific papers from related fields.
Dr. Emilio Larrodé Pellicer has been a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Higher Technical School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Zaragoza since 1993. He received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, his master's degree in mechanical engineering and his doctorate at the University of Zaragoza. He is the director of the Transport and Logistics Research Group (GITEL) of the University of Zaragoza and director of the Electric Vehicle Laboratory (eV-Lab) of the Engineering Research Institute of Aragon (I3A). His research focuses on the study and analysis of improving the effectiveness of transportation systems from the point of view of the design of transportation systems and vehicles that improve their performance and from their exploitation through the optimization of their operability. Likewise, the simulation and selection of transportation systems through the application of decision systems methods, analyzing their competitiveness in the transportation sector. From the academic side, he teaches Transportation Engineering, Railways and Electric Traction, Cranes and Lifting Transportation Systems, Electric and Hybrid Automobiles, Transportation and Logistics operations, and reverse logistics. He is director of the University of Zaragoza Chair on Sustainable Transport and is director of the Doctorate program in Logistics and Supply Chain Management of the University of Zaragoza at the Zaragoza Logistics Center.
