Professor Amanda Rodrigues Amorim Adegboye is an epidemiologist with a background in human nutrition. She is the Associate Director of Research and Engagement at Coventry University. She holds a Ph.D. in epidemiology with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of public health. She has a strong background in intervention design, service evaluation, and evidence synthesis. She is an Associate Member of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She completed her first degree in human nutrition at Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil. In 2001, she carried out postgraduate training in nutrition and infectious diseases at the Evandro Chagas Hospital/Research Center in Brazil. In 2006, she completed an exchange Ph.D. program in Sweden at the Obesity Unit at Karolinska Institute. She obtained her PGCert in Higher Education from the University of Westminster. Her research interests include health inequalities, diversity and inclusion, nutrition and food insecurity, sustainability, climate change, food heritage, and maternal and child nutrition.
