She is leading a studentship project focused on exploring the involvement of musculoskeletal stem cells in the blood cancer niche. Additionally, she is collaborating with fellow cancer researchers at the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre to advance new research in the field of cancer immunology. She obtained a Ph.D. in immunology and cancer and was a research fellow (2012–2019) at the University of Leeds. She was awarded a start-up grant from the AO Foundation (2016–2018) and has received several industrial and academic grants as principal investigator or co-investigator. Her research interests include immunology, stem cell biology, bone marrow ageing, blood cancers, and bone regeneration. She is currently investigating the molecular events in the bone marrow niche contributing to bone healing and immunological–stromal interactions in health and cancer.
