Dr. Wasim El Nekidy is a Senior Pharmacotherapy Specialist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, UAE. He also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, USA, and as adjunct clinical faculty at both the United Arab Emirates University College of Medicine and Gulf Medical University, UAE. Dr. El Nekidy is the Chair of the Nephrology Practice and Research Network and an elected Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Dr. El Nekidy earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University, Egypt, and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA. He completed a post-doctorate ASHP-accredited residency at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI, USA, and a Medical Statistics Certificate from Stanford University, California, USA. He is board-certified in Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care, and Infectious Diseases. Dr. El Nekidy’s research focuses on antimicrobial dosing and their pharmacokinetics /pharmacodynamics in critically ill patients with kidney diseases. He has authored over 50 publications and delivered more than 80 research and pharmacotherapy presentations. Additionally, he serves as a peer reviewer for several prestigious international journals.

Dr. Islam M. Ghazi is a seasoned professional with diverse experience including academia, clinical practice, and the pharmaceutical industry. He originally earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, AND then his PharmD from the University of Florida. His postgraduate fellowship was completed at the Center of Anti-infective Research and Development, Hartford Hospital, CT. Currently, Dr. Ghazi is board certified in pharmacotherapy, ambulatory care, and infectious diseases and a fellow of the Philadelphia College of Physicians. He is also a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the European Society of Microbiology and infectious Diseases, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. In addition to teaching in a variety of courses and programs including pharmacology, microbiology, clinical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and research design, Dr. Ghazi practices in the fields of ambulatory care and infectious diseases.

Prof. Dr. Jihad Mallat is the Interim Chief of the Critical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Mallat worked as a Consultant in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Lens Hospital in France. He also worked as a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at Arras Hospital in France. Dr. Mallat is certified by the French Board of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, with additional subspecialty certification in Medical Critical Care Medicine. He is also appointed as a Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA. He has also a Masters Degree in Methodology, Statistics, and Research from the University of Paris-Sud, Paris, France, and a PhD in Clinical Research from the University of Caen Normandy, France.
