Author Biographies

Dr. Mohammad Rabiei is an accomplished virologist with significant contributions in the Gastrointestinal Viral Oncology group at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research. He began his academic journey with an associate degree in veterinary medicine in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences in 2002. Starting his research career in 2005 at IAU in Iran, he earned a master’s degree in medical microbiology in 2013. Invited to the University of Adelaide for a PhD project, Mohammad researched the molecular pathogenesis of Newcastle disease virus, earning his PhD in 2021 along with the "Adelaide Graduate Award." His research specializes in oncogenic viruses, focusing on Human Papillomavirus in oesophageal and gastric cancer. Currently, he oversees two PhD students and leads five collaborative research projects with institutions like the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney.
