Jiping Gao graduated from Shenyang Agricultural University in 2011,
majoring in crop cultivation and farming. In 2011, he received a master’s
degree in agriculture and stayed at the school to teach. In 2019, he received a
doctorate in crop science. He is currently the deputy director of the National
and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Northern Japonica Rice Breeding and
Cultivation Technology. He is also a main member of the Ministry of Education’s
innovation team “Northern Japonica Rice Core Science and Technology Innovation
and Key Technologies”, a key member of the Liaoning Province Modern
Agricultural Industry Technology System Rice Innovation Team, the first batch
of young talents in the agricultural field in Liaoning Province, and a leading
talent in Shenyang City. He has been engaged in rice cultivation teaching and
scientific research for a long time. His main research directions are basic
research on the physiological ecology of high-quality and high-yield rice
cultivation and the agricultural application of biochar, focusing on the
synergistic mechanism of rice nitrogen absorption and utilization and its
control technology, and the theory and approach of synergistic improvement of
rice yield and quality. Carry out relevant research on aspects such as carbon
sequestration and emission reduction in rice fields. Won the Liaoning Youth
Science and Technology Award the first prize of the Liaoning Province Science
and Technology Progress Award.
