Zeng Weisheng, professor of the Academy of Forest Inventory and Planning, National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China (NFGA).
Bachelor of Forestry from Central-South Forestry College in 1987; Master of Forest Management from Beijing Forestry University in 1990; a Doctorate in Forest Management from the Chinese Academy of Forestry in 2011.
Employed in the Central-South Forest Inventory and Planning Institute of NFGA in Hunan between 1990 and 2008; as Deputy General Engineer responsible for the 6th and 7th National Forest Inventory (NFI) of eight provinces in the central-south region.
Since 2011, participated in the 8th and 9th NFI and forest and grassland integrated monitoring and responsible for drafting several national and professional standards, such as Technical Regulations for National Forest Inventory (GB/T 38590-2020), Tree Biomass Models and Related Parameters to Carbon Accounting for Major Tree Species (GB/T 43648-2024); participated in several programs supported by the National Natural Science of China. Member of the editorial boards of Scientia Silvae Sinicae, Forest and Grassland Resources Research, Central South Forest Inventory and Planning, and Forest Inventory and Planning.
Awards received: 1 second prize of Nat Sci & Tech Progress; 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 4 third prizes of provincial and ministerial Sci & Tech Progress; and 2 first prize, 1 second prize,
and 1 third prize of Nat For Exc Engi Consulting Achievements.
