I am an assistant professor at the University of Georgia and a member of the Regenerative Bioscience Center. I conduct multi-institutional, collaborative research studying neural injuries and diseases, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and vascular cognitive impairment. I am responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and analyzing preclinical endeavors that have assessed the therapeutic efficacy of novel neuroprotectants and neuroregenerative agents. By collaborating with associates of diverse experience levels and varying investigative interests, I have become an efficient team leader and dedicated professional in this competitive field.
