Dr Toh Yen Pang is Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Engineering, RMIT University. In addition, he has served as the Deputy Head (Learning and Teaching) in that department since April 2024. Dr Pang specialises in teaching and learning that integrates 3D technology and software for computer-aided engineering and design and finite element analysis, with Industry 4.0 principles. A central focus is modelling and delivering user-specific product requirements and addressing the increasing demand for customisation solutions in the industry. His research is centred on the use of Digital Twin technology in modelling supply chains, information tracking, and real-time data collection and management. Dr Pang's research also includes the development of imaging devices critical for use during the ‘Golden Hour’—the critical window following the onset of stroke symptoms—and automation processes in manufacturing. His work has been supported by a number of grants, including Australia’s Medical Research Future Fund and the Victoria state government’s Higher Education Investment Fund.
