Meng Yuan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sustainability and Planning at Aalborg University. Her current work focuses on developing and employing state-of-the-art Energy System Models to model, optimise, and analyse the transition pathways toward future 100% renewable energy systems within the Smart Energy Systems context. Her specific research interests include energy infrastructures, power-to-X, district heating and sustainable energy planning in general. She has more than 50 publications to her name in the abovementioned fields and has been involved in international research activities with the IEA, IRENA, ADBI, and the World Bank.
