Dr. Dharani K. Hapangama is a Professor of Gynaecology and the deputy head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at the University of Liverpool, with an interest in translational endometrial research. She is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Liverpool Women’s Hospital and her research group works on normal regeneration of the human endometrium, endometrial epithelial stem cells and telomerase/telomere biology in the context of endometrial disease such as 'endometriosis', peri-conceptional pathology and 'endometrial cancer'. She graduate from the University of Edinburgh (BSc(Hons), MBChB, MD) and completed specialist training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge, Queen Charlotte’s Hospital London and Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
