Professor Matteo Bonato is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health, University of Milan. He completed his PhD studies in Sport Science at the University of Milano and has been awarded Fellow of the European College of Sport Science (ECSS). He led projects on muscle aging and sarcopenia in older people as well as the physiological determinants of endurance performance. He has published over 50 papers in various journals with impact factors. His teaching disciplines include athletics at the School of Sport Science of the University of Milan, and his interests include sarcopenia, digital therapeutics, exercise prescription, and physical activity monitoring.
Federica Marmondi received her Master of Science in Sport Science from the University of Milan in 2020. She has worked as a Sport Scientist at the IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in the Unit of Infectious Diseases since 2021. Her research topics mainly include sarcopenia, muscle disuse, exercise prescription, and digital therapeutics.
Claudio Mastropaolo earned a Master's Degree in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology (2012) from the University of Bari. He is the founder of Visionage srl Innovativa, which deals with strategic marketing and technology transfer. His work in technology transfer has resulted in designing and developing advanced remote monitoring and interaction solutions for digital therapies.
Cecilia Inzaghi received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Sciences, Sport and Health from the University of Milan in 2019, and is now pursuing a Master's Degree in Science of Physical Activity for Well-being. She has worked as a Data Manager at IRCCS Galeazzi Sant'Ambroggio Hospital since 2023. Her research topics mainly include exercise prescription in people with sarcopenia.
Camilla Cerizza received her Master's Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1990, and specialized in Sport Medicine in 1996 at the University of Brescia. She is working as a Sport Medicine doctor at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, in a study that investigates the effects of exercise prescription in people with sarcopenia. Her research topics mainly include exercise physiology and sport medicine.
Laura Galli is a statistician with an expertise in data management in studies on antiretroviral treatment in HIV infection at the Unit of Infectious Diseases of the IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute. She received her Master of Science degree in statistics in 1985 at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Italy). Her interests include clinical trials on antiretroviral treatments for HIV infection.
Prof. Giuseppe Banfi is the Scientific Director of the IRCCS Galeazzi Hospital - Sant'Ambrogio. He completed his studies in Medicine and Surgery cum Laude at the University of Pavia in 1984. He then specialized in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at the University of Milan in 1988. He is the author of more than 450 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and he is a speaker and co-supervisor at national and international conferences.
Paola Cinque received her Medical Doctor Degree at the University of Milan (Italy) in 1987 and her Ph.D. at Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) in 1995. She is leading the Unit of Neurovirology at the IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute (Milan, Italy). Her research topics mainly include viral encephalitis and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, HIV infection, and physical exercise in the elderly and people with HIV.
