Dr. Antonia Bruno holds a Ph.D. Degree in Biology from the University of Milano-Bicocca. Currently, she serves as a Assistant professor in Microbiology at the Biotechnologies and Biosciences Department at the same university. Her research interests include the microbiome; ecology; health; drinking water; aquatic ecosystems; biodiversity; eDNA; (micro)organisms' interactions; built environments; food; and high-throughput DNA sequencing. Antonia Bruno is co-author of about forty peer-reviewed scientific publications published in international journals, of more than twenty posters and oral communications in national and international conferences; she was an invited speaker at several national and international seminars, and has given several press interviews. Moreover, she was awarded a 2020 Bicocca Starting Grant. Antonia Bruno is part of the organizing committee of the Microbiome Virtual International Forum (MVIF).
