Dr. Antonia Bruno holds a Ph.D. Degree in Biology from the University of Milano-Bicocca. Currently, she serves as a Assistant professor in Microbiology at the Biotechnologies and Biosciences Department at the same university. Her research interests include the microbiome; ecology; health; drinking water; aquatic ecosystems; biodiversity; eDNA; (micro)organisms' interactions; built environments; food; and high-throughput DNA sequencing. Antonia Bruno is co-author of about forty peer-reviewed scientific publications published in international journals, of more than twenty posters and oral communications in national and international conferences; she was an invited speaker at several national and international seminars, and has given several press interviews. Starting Grant. Antonia Bruno is part of the organizing committee of the Microbiome Virtual International Forum (MVIF).
