Prof. Xiaofeng Li currently works as a Researcher at the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Protected Horticultural Technology, Horticultural Research Institute, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shanghai, China. He obtained a Master of Vegetable Science at Nanjing Agricultural University and a Doctor of Vegetable Science at Shandong Agricultural University, respectively, in 2008 and 2023. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Yangtze River Delta Cabbage Industry Science and Technology Innovation Alliance. His main research fields are 1. genetic breeding of non-heading cabbage and other cruciferous vegetable crops; 2. genetic analysis, gene location, and functional research of important agronomic traits such as non-heading cabbage; and 3. research on the mechanism of heterosis and distant hybridization of cruciferous vegetable crops.

Prof. Yishan Song, Associate Professor, is currently the vice dean of the College of Food Science and Technology, Shanghai Ocean University, Shanghai, China. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Tongji University in 2007. He has conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Molecular Science and Technology of the Italian National Research Council and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. He is mainly engaged in research in organic chemistry, functional foods, and other related fields.

Prof. Hongfang Zhu currently works as an Associate Researcher at the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Protected Horticultural Technology, Horticultural Research Institute, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. She obtained an M.Sc. in vegetable science at the Nanjing Agricultural University and a Ph.D. in horticulture at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is engaged in the collection and breeding research of leafy vegetable germplasm resources such as green vegetables and Chinese cabbage for seedlings, including physiological, biochemical, and genetic analysis of purple traits, disease resistance, and male sterility of non-heading cabbage.
