Dr. Pascal Izzicupo is an Associate Professor of Physical Training Sciences and Methodology at the University “G. D’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, Italy. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Biomedical and Cytomorphological Sciences in Sport and Physical Activity at the Università degli Studi G. d’Annunzio Chieti, Italy, from 2009 to 2011. His research focuses on physical activity determinants, anthropometry, and body composition, as well as exercise-related inflammatory, vascular, and neuroendocrine mediators. Additionally, he actively explores the connections between health-enhancing physical activity and sports domains in his studies and research. He has published over seventy refereed journal articles and actively collaborates within national and international research networks. His passion lies in promoting health-enhancing physical activity, understanding its impact on overall well-being, and advancing knowledge within the realm of sports.

Dr. Nicola Mammarella is a Full Professor in General Psychology at the University of Chieti (Italy) and holds a psychology degree from Padua University and a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Essex University (UK). He is currently a full member of the SIPI (Italian Society of Psychology of Aging) scientific committee. His research focuses on the interaction of memory and emotion, especially with regard to age-related differences. He is also interested in working-memory studies and their implications in everyday life (e.g., learning and memory training) and human adaptation to space. His top areas of expertise are working memory, long-term memory, repetition effects, source monitoring, false memories, and memory and emotions in normal and pathological aging.
