Dr. Yingjie Niu received his MS degree in Animal Bioengineering from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2016 and his PhD degree in Animal Science from Chungbuk National University in 2020. In 2020, he joined the Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology Development of Yangzhou University (Joint Laboratory for International Cooperation in Agriculture and Agricultural Product Safety, Ministry of Education) and is currently working as an assistant researcher. He recently led the key projects of the National Key R&D Programme, National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund, and Yangzhou University High-level Talents Research Initiation Fund. His research interests include the molecular basis of and environmental influences on the development of animal gametophyte embryos, the regulation mechanism of chicken germ cell development and differentiation, and the conservation and utilization of poultry germplasm resources.
