Author Biographies

Safdar Ali received the B.Sc, and M.Sc degrees in computer science from Peshawar University Pakistanin 2001, and 2003, an MS degree from NUCES FAST Islamabad Pakistan in 2010 and PhD degree from Jeju National University Republic of Korea. He joined the Mobile Computing lab at Jeju National Universityas a PhD student in 2011. His areas of interest are data mining, machine learning, M2M, energymanagement, optimization, and prediction in the building sector.
Khizar Hayat holds a BS degree in computer science from COMSATS University Islamabad (2008) and an MS from International Islamic University Islamabad (2011). Currently a PhD scholar at COMSATS University Lahore, he has been with The University of Lahore since 2012, progressing from Lecturer to Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering. His research interests span various network technologies, including P2P networks, WSN, MANETs, SDN, IoT, VANETs, Network Security, Information Centric Networks, and fog/edge computing. He has extensive experience teaching and supervising undergraduate projects.
Ibrar Hussain is a Professor, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology, and Head of the Department of Software Engineering at the University of Lahore, where he has been since 2015. He received an MS in Information Management (Information Retrieval) from Queen Mary, University of London, UK. He later received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, P.R. China. His research interest lies in Human-Computer Interaction, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Ubiquitous Computing, Accessibility, and Location-Based Services.
Ahmad Khan completed his PhD at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences(FAST- NU), Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2015. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor at thedepartment of computer science at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Abbottabad Campus. Hisresearch interests include Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Evolutionary Algorithms.
Prof. Dohyeun Kim obtained a BS in Electronics Engineering and an MS and a PhD in Information Telecommunication from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, in 1988, 1990, and 2000, respectively. He served at the Agency of Defense Development (ADD) from 1990 to 1995. Since 2004, he has been a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Jeju National University, Republic of Korea. In addition, he was a Visiting Researcher at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, from 2008 to 2009. His research interests encompass sensor networks, M2M/IoT, energy optimization and prediction, intelligent service, and mobile computing.
