Endre Zima, MD, Ph.D., is the chief of the cardiac
ICU at the Heart and Vascular Center of Semmelweis University, Budapest,
Hungary. He is a consultant in anesthesiology, intensive care, and cardiology.
He achieved a Ph.D. and a medical habilitation degree from Semmelweis
University in 2006 and 2017, respectively. He is a full Instructor of the
European Resuscitation Council in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life
Support (BLS). He is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, the
European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the Acute Cardiovascular Care
Association. He achieved the EHRA accreditation for Cardiac Pacing and
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators. He is the past president of the
Working Group on Cardiac Arrhythmias and Pacing and a board member of the
Hungarian Society of Cardiology and Working Group on Heart Failure. He is a
member of the Hungarian Society of Resuscitation and the Hungarian Society of
Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy. His fields of research are cardiopulmonary
resuscitation, post-cardiac arrest intensive care, arrhythmias,
ICDs/implantable pulse generators (IPGs), cardiac resynchronization therapy
(CRT) therapy, defibrillator development, acute and intensive cardiac care,
cardiogenic shock/acute heart failure, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
Béla Merkely
Prof. Dr. Béla Merkely is the Chairman of the Department of Aviation and Space Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Semmelweis University, he is also the Chair of the Semmelweis University Heart and Vascular Center. He received his M.D. degree from Semmelweis University in 1991. In addition, he is a member of the Hungarian Society of Cardiology (MKT), the Hungarian Society of Cardiac Surgery, the Hungarian Atherosclerosis Society, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the International Society for Heart Research.
Tamás Radovits is currently a professor/researcher
at the Heart and Vascular Center of Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary.
He completed his Ph.D. studies in theoretical medicine at Semmelweis University
in 2008, then he obtained a Habilitation in clinical medicine there in 2020.
His research interests are focused on the study of experimental cardiology,
theoretical medicine, and clinical medicine.
