Prof. Zhiqiang Wu works as a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Genome Analysis Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Umeå University, Sweden, Texas Tech University, Iowa State University, and Colorado State University. His main research takes plant organelles as a research object, using omics big data to explore the variation and mutation mechanism of organelle genomes, as well as the molecular mechanism of nucleocytoplasmic interaction, and exploring the transformation of organelle-based photosynthesis systems to improve crop yields.
Prof. Yuehong Yan currently works as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Shenzhen Key Laboratory for Orchid Conservation and Utilization, National Orchid Conservation Center of China and the Orchid Conservation & Research Center of Shenzhen. Before that, he was an associate professor at the School of Life Sciences, Hunan University of Science and Technology. He obtained a bachelor's degree at the School of Life Sciences, Hunan University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. at the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research fields are plant systematics, evolutionary biology, and systematic genomics.
