Ahmed Kreta is an Assistant Professor of Physics and Nanotechnology at May University in Cairo and the American University in Cairo. He holds a B.Sc. in Electronics and Physics from Ain Shams University and has extensive research experience from the National Research Center and the British University in Egypt, where he developed gold nanoparticle-based cancer therapies. He pursued postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Chemistry in Slovenia, collaborating with the University of Nova Gorica on advanced nanomaterials. Ahmed earned his Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the University of Ljubljana and the Jozef Stefan Postgraduate International School. His research interests include studying optoelectronic materials using various microscopy and optoelectric techniques, as well as developing nanophotonics sensors and biosensors for medical diagnostics and environmental monitoring
