Dr. Man Hung is a Professor with appointments in both the Division of Public Health and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Operations at the University of Utah. Her expertise is integral to the School of Medicine, where she serves as a senior psychometrician, statistician, and research consultant at the Study Design and Biostatistics Center, and also contributes significantly to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Her role expands as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Education and the College of Social Work. Her influence permeates through her involvement as a senior scientist, affiliate, and mentor at several colleges, including the College of Social Behavioral Science, College of Engineering, College of Fine Arts, College of Science, School of Business, and her service at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Moreover, she holds the roles of Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Hung's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including leadership, teaching and learning, research and statistical methods, data science, measurement, and information technology.
Amir Mohajeri is a Research Associate in the College of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences. He works on oral health research projects and applies data analysis techniques to dental record data to improve oral health outcomes. Before joining the Roseman family, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Idaho’s College of Engineering, where he worked on developing machine learning algorithms to analyze biomass data. Before moving to the U.S., he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering at Islamic Azad University, Iran. He holds a doctorate in Industrial Engineering with a minor in production planning and management from Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran. His master’s and bachelor’s degrees are also in Industrial Engineering from Mazandaran University of Science and Technology and the University of Tabriz, Iran, respectively. His main research interests are in Statistics and Data Science and their application to a variety of research questions.
Dr. Martin S. Lipsky is an adjunct instructor with the School of Public Health and a member of Portland State’s Institute of Aging. He teaches courses on men's health and the health aspects of aging. Formerly the founding chair of Family Medicine at Northwestern University and the Chancellor of the Roseman University of Health Sciences, Dr. Lipsky is part of an interdisciplinary team representing multiple institutions that study issues related to health disparities, men’s health, aging, and the education of health professionals. Dr. Lipsky has written several books on primary care and aging. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management, Internal Medicine Alert, and Disease-a-Month.
