Prof. Dr. Jian Chen is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a professor, doctoral supervisor, and the Chair of the Academic Committee at the School of Bioengineering, Jiangnan University. He has been long engaged in research and teaching in fermentation engineering and food biotechnology. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1984, he obtained a doctorate from Wuxi Institute of Light Industry in 1990. Currently, he is the director of the Future Food Science Center of Jiangnan University. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Biotechnology, Vice President of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, a Fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology (IAFoST), and the Editor-in-Chief of Food Bioscience.
