Donald J Hagler, MD, is a Consultant at the Mayo Clinic in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and an adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He trained in Pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, and Pediatric Cardiology at UCLA and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He served as a pediatrician at the Naval Hospital in Port Hueneme California and as a consultant at the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MA. He has served as Program Director, Principal Investigator, or Co-investigator for multiple Congenital interventional device trials. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. He specializes in the care of children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease including echocardiographic imaging, and diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization. His research interests include congenital echocardiography and congenital cardiac interventional consortium.
