Junzhi Yu is currently a
Professor at the Department of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics, College of
Engineering, Peking University. Prior to that, he served as an Associate
Research/Researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Management and Control for
Complex Systems, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2006–2018),
then a Professor at the Department of Mechanics & Engineering Science, Peking
University (2018–2020). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering
and Master’s degree in Precision Machinery & Instrumentation from North
University of China in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and earned a Ph.D. in Control
Theory and Control Engineering from CAS in 2004. He was a Postdoctoral Research
Fellow at the Center for Systems and Control, Peking University (2004–2006).
His main research interests include Intelligent robots (bionic robots,
mechatronic design, collective intelligence); Advanced robot control (intelligent
control, bionic control); Embedded vision (image processing, embedded applications,
visual applications); and Medical image processing, and dental robotics.
