Prof. Dr. Yoshiyasu Takefuji graduated in Electrical Engineering from Keio University BS (1978) and achieved MS (1980) and Ph.D. (1983) degrees. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida (1983–1985), the University of South Carolina (1985–1988), Case Western Reserve University (1988–1996: tenured in 1992), and a Professor at the Keio University (1992–2021), Musashino University (2021-present). His research interests include cyber-security, neural computing, energy harvesting, IoT, and AI. He authored 41 books and more than 900 articles, supervising more than 41 Ph.D. students. He published 210 eLetters and 1 report in Science, 1 in Nature, and 1 in NEJM. He was selected in 2021, 2022, and 2023 by Times Higher Education as a reputation survey participant representing peers in both his discipline and country.
