Prof. Dr. Jimin Xu is currently an associate professor at the Hefei University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in September 2017 from Xi’an Jiaotong University. His Ph.D. thesis was awarded the 2018 Hiwin Doctoral Dissertation Prize by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. From December 2022 to December 2023, he worked as a visiting scholar at Kyoto University. He is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing. His main research interests include cryogenic tribology, bearing–rotor systems, and mechanical design.
