Dr. Glen Ritchie is the Chair and Associate Professor of the Department of Plant and Soil Science at Texas Tech University (TTU). He completed his master’s studies in Crop Science at Utah State University and his PhD studies in Agronomy at the University of Georgia. His research interests include developing effective and economical water management strategies for crop production in the Southern High Plains, and his current projects include research on cultivar selection, irrigation management, and the effects of persistent and episodic drought on crops' growth, morphology, yield, and quality.
Dr. Wenxuan Guo is an Associate Professor of Crop Ecophysiology and Precision Agriculture with a joint appointment at Texas A&M AgriLife Research. He completed his master’s studies in Plant, Soil, and Environmental Science at West Texas A&M University and his PhD in Agronomy at Texas Tech University. His research mainly focuses on precision agriculture, environmental sciences, and remote sensing in agriculture, especially the application of UAVs in precision plant phenotyping, and his primary goal is to establish interdisciplinary research and teaching programs that leverage state-of-the-art technologies to improve agricultural production with limited resources, especially water.
