Yuan Lai is an Assistant Professor/Special Research Fellow at the School of Architecture, Tsinghua University. He received a B.Sc. in Landscape Architecture, an M.Sc. in Urban Planning, an M.Sc. in Applied Urban Science and Informatics, and a Ph.D. in Urban Systems and Informatics, all from New York University. He was a Lecturer of Urban Science and Planning at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2019–2021). His expertise lies at the intersection of urban information, applied data science, and urban systems.
