Mgr. Matej Tkáč, Ph.D. is the head of the accredited Physico-Chemical Laboratory of Food Testing Laboratory - FVHE at the Department of Animal Origin Food and Gastronomic Sciences, University of
Veterinary Sciences Brno. He completed his PhD studies in the field of Food Hygiene and Technology at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno. He recently led a project focused on the detection of foreign amylase in honey. His work in the field of honey analysis has resulted in 15 publications and presentations. His teaching disciplines include Food Chemistry and Chemical Laboratory Methods and Technology and Hygiene of Honey and Bee Products, and his interests include analysis of honey and bee products.
