Prof. Dr. Xiaoyang Zhou obtained a bachelor's degree in clinical medicine from the First Clinical College of Wuhan University from 1986 to 1991, a master's degree in internal medicine from the Second Clinical College of Wuhan University from 1995 to 1998, and a doctoral degree in cardiovascular clinical epidemiology from the Fuwai Hospital of Peking Union Medical College from 2001 to 2004. From August 2014 to August 2017, he served as the Director of the Comprehensive Second Department at Wuhan University, East Campus of People's Hospital. From September 2017 to present, he has served as the Director of CCU and Deputy Director of Cardiology at Wuhan University, East Hospital of the People's Hospital. He has won the "Anti-Epidemic Hero Award" from the Cardiovascular Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the "exemplary individual" award from the Central Committee of the People's Democratic Progressive Movement to fight COVID-19, and the "Anti-Epidemic Pioneer" award from the Hubei Provincial Committee of the People's Democratic Progressive Movement.
Prof. Dr. Ling Gao transferred to the University of London from September 2001 to March 2002 to pursue a doctoral degree. From March 2002 to March 2006, He worked as a doctoral student at the Cardiovascular Medicine Center at King's College London. Starting in September 2017, he served as the director of the endocrinology department at the People's Hospital of Wuhan University. He has won the Wang Kuancheng Scholarship and the Excellence Award for the Diabetes Comprehensive Management Project of the Chinese Medical Association.
