Dr. Zhongben Zhu obtained a master's degree in control
theory and control engineering from Ocean University of China from 2010 to 2012
and a doctoral degree in port, coastal, and offshore engineering from Ocean
University of China from 2012 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, he served as a
lecturer at the School of Shipbuilding Engineering, Harbin Engineering
University, and he has been serving as an associate professor at Harbin
Engineering University and Qingdao Innovation and Development Base since 2022.
He is currently a member of the Robot System Simulation Professional Committee
of the China Simulation Society, Vice Chairman of the China Ocean Platform
Journal, and a member of the Harbin Youth Federation. He received three second
prizes for provincial- and ministerial-level scientific and technological
progress. His research interests include underwater navigation.
Prof. Hongde Qin has been a professor of Science and
Technology in the Underwater Vehicle Laboratory at Harbin Engineering
University since 2012. Before that, he was an associate professor for seven
years at this university. He received a Ph.D. degree from Harbin Engineering
University, Harbin, China, in 2003. In addition, he is currently serving as a
member of the Key Special Expert Committee for “Intelligent Robots” in the 14th
Five-Year National Key R&D Program, a member of the Shipbuilding Industry
Expert Group of the Science and Technology Commission of the National Defense Bureau,
a director of the Deep Sea Technology Branch of the Chinese Ocean Society, and
so on. He mainly engages in research on underwater autonomous vehicles and
surface unmanned boat technology.
