Dr. José Antonio Estrada-Torres received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela, in 2012, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA, in 2017 and 2021, respectively. He was an Assistant Lecturer with the University of Carabobo from 2012 to 2015 and a Researcher with the Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory, Fundación Instituto de Ingeniería, Caracas, Venezuela, from 2014 to 2015, working as a Laboratory Coordinator, leading research projects and overseeing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance and antenna testing. He is currently with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Boulder. His research interests include the design of cryogenic Josephson-junction-based circuits, quantum measurement, optomechanics, quantum computing, high-efficiency power amplifiers, microwave filters, tuneable RF front ends, front-end miniaturization, heterogeneous integration, energy harvesting, and wireless powering.
